iCoach – Sharpening the Saw

This week’s edition of iCoach is about stress and teens. In this edition, you will learn a powerful concept from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People called Sharpening the Saw. It is so easy to get caught up in society’s mantra of “bigger, better, faster, more” and we end up becoming human doings instead of human beings. When we are reminded to stop and sharpen the saw, we can then renew and restore our energy and power and become even more effective in our tasks.

iCoach – Do the Right Thing

This week’s edition of iCoach is about doing the right thing. In this recording, I share a touching story about a kid who just did the right thing. We only have to pick up a newspaper or watch tv to see what’s wrong with kids today. But if like attracts like and your thoughts determine your experience, doesn’t it make sense to start focusing on the right stuff? Try practicing in small ways and then watch the ripple effect in your life and in the lives of others.

iCoach – My Rules

My Rules: this week’s edition of iCoach is about creating your own rules to live by and becoming aware of any self-imposed rules that govern your life. Some you you may not even be aware and don’t serve you, but wind up totally controlling your choices and actions. There is so much power in knowing, claiming and living by your own rules because if you don’t know what you stand for… you’ll fall for anything. This is the kind of stuff that builds character, integrity and not only helps you develop self-respect, but will gain you the respect and admiration of others.

iCoach – Unshakeable Belief

This week’s edition of iCoach is an exploration into the unshakable belief that some people have what it takes to succeed – no matter what. Psychologists refer to it as self-efficacy and there are four factors that go into the forming of one’s beliefs regarding their own self-efficacy. I will also give you several examples of those who succeeded despite the odds that will demonstrate the old adage “If at first you don’t succeed” and will also let you know that you’re not alone and you’re in good company!

iCoach – Dig Your Well Before You’re Thirsty

This week’s edition of iCoach is about being prepared and having enough tools ready in your toolbox for when life happens. I will use the expression “dig your well before you’re thirsty” to describe how important it is to have your tools all ready before the “you know what” hits the fan. Because it can and it will. No one gets through life unscathed – let’s face it, stuff happens. But it is those who are prepared by having a plan for your life and then having the tools to get yourself back on track.
