Something magical happens when your hands are covered in paint and you’ve poured your heart and soul onto the canvas. Time stands still as you become grounded in the here and now. You can feel yourself getting unstuck as you release the blocked emotions that have held you hostage.
I’ve tried and have practiced so many types of healing modalities in my life and career. But when Covid hit and we were all on lockdown, I started painting again after many years of squandering this gift. The moment I picked up the paintbrush, I could feel a shift happening within. I began to explore my hidden fears and express my innermost emotions in ways I had never been able to access before. I’d been journaling for over thirty years and to my amazement, I discovered that painting is just another way of keeping a diary and getting to know myself on a deeper level.
It was absolute and undeniable divine guidance to combine my thirty plus years of coaching, hypnotherapy and spiritual healing work with my passion for painting into a healing arts course designed to help you release all the stuff that’s keeping you stuck and get you back into the flow of who you were created to be—happy, joyous and free!
La Vie En Rose: The Art of Self Love
Explore the powerful connection between self-expression and self-love in this acrylic, abstract painting class, “La Vie en Rose.” No painting experience required—just your willingness to play and let creativity flow. We’ll paint loose and easy roses using layers of paint and impressionistic strokes that reflect the many aspects of your own life. Let the paint say things you’ve never had the words for.

Paint Your Story: Rise Up Like the Lily
Unity of Naples Visual Arts Center is proud to present this unique Studio Workshop with artist Kathleen Hassan using Acrylic Paints and Palette Knives. Embark on a transformational journey where the canvas becomes your sanctuary for self-expression and intention. Inspired by the spiritual symbolism of water lilies representing enlightenment, Kathleen will guide you through a process of self-discovery, using layers of paint to illustrate your own story. The Process: We’ll begin with a guided meditation to allowed ourselves to be grounded and connected with our inner knowing. We’ll then create a “prayer layer” to release all resistance and open up to the flow of divine love. Then, layer by layer, we’ll say things with paint that we’ve never had the words for.
No artistic or meditative experience is necessary, just a willingness to view your life as the masterpiece it truly is. All supplies will be provided.

Kathleen Hassan is a seasoned writer, life coach, inspirational speaker, and spiritual healer with training in the field of hypnotherapy, reiki, theta healing, metaphysics, neuro-linguistics, biblical studies, ministerial training and twelve step recovery. She has dedicated her life and career to spiritual growth and personal development, working predominantly with women and teen girls and is now embarking on a thrilling second-act career as an artist, incorporating many healing modalities into her artwork and painting classes.
